Busy Season

I figure I should probably update so that my friends know I haven't died. I've had a total of five days off since the start of last month and have woken up before 7 am for all but a small handful of those days. Naps have been helping me slowly recover from my recent burnout. My health is acting up, causing me to be unable to sleep some nights or eat for hours at a time, major fatigue, and hair loss. Showering is really fun when you loose a seizable chunk of hair every time you shampoo. Classes suffered from the recent burnout, got real behind in homework and now I'll be lucky to pass. I might be better off trying again in the spring, because I'm still burnt out.. just a little less so than I was up until now.

Getting furious with my hair. Showering has been a pain because I don't even have time to do laundry, let alone set aside a minimum of an hour per night so my hair can dry before bed. It has to be dry or I wake up sick, and I cannot handle being sick. In fact its a wonder I haven't gotten sick yet, between working so much and not taking the best care of myself. Been slacking on my vitamins. Been fighting this stupid cold for near on a month now but haven't actually gotten sick.

Computer is being stupid again. It's not taking power consistantly anymore, again. When classes are out and I don't have online homework for awhile, I need to send my computer in. It was fine for awhile, but seriously, I got it back just before school started? So three months minimal travel and the motherboard is already getting a faulty connection. And if that wasn't bad enough, a good pile of keys are sticking up like no other.

On a happy note, work is good. Got to run the light board for a couple events, and yesterday I even got to do some fancy stuff with the moving lights. My crew doubted me but I had a crazy idea that turned out real well. We had rainbow lights up on the cyc (giant white cloth that turns colors based on the color light shined on it, instead of a backdrop or something). There were seven moving lights, meaning we could control them and make them do lots of cool stuff. Two of them were pointed at the cyc, and turned in circles and changed colors. The remaining five were then making giant figure eights on the floor, while changing color. The song started out slow, but then kicks up and is a really fast tempo. I made the moving lights turn on right as the song kicked up, it looked really cool. The crew didn't think it would work but it did. It's the little things like this that I think keep me going.

Really sad that I dropped out of Art Stickers. It was fun, but I have had no time for it. As it is I'm pressed for time to do chores, let alone fun stuff. :\

Just thought I'd let y'all know I'm alive for now and well enough. Take care!

I'm a young theater technician trying to figure out what I want in life. I love lighting and stage managing but I'd rather have a different sort of awesome job, like be some sort of undercover spy gathering information in another country. Or cutting up dead people if I had the stomach for that.
I have all sorts of interests, especially languages, science, and history. I read a lot, I geek out a lot, and I frequently forget how old I am.
